Possession in the Common Law

The purpose of the free law books project was to make law books of special historical significance, whose copyright has expired, available in a freely reproducable electronic version. Many of these books are important to law students for a full understanding the law as it is today, and since copyright has expired on them, there is no reason that law books should not be available for little or no charge.

The project began with an electronic version of Pollock and Wright's essay on Possession in the Common Law. Since Pollock died in 1937, and Wright in 1904, this important book became public domain years ago.

Unfortunately there was insufficient interst to keep the project going, and it has been discontinued.

Libraries are requested to mirror these pages rather than link to them.
